I know that it's the hormones and fluid retention for me. I already do my best to eat a low sodium diet, but I am especially careful when I know that that time is coming. Caffeine also seems to help me sometimes, but I know for some it makes their headaches worse.
I would say to call your neuro and ask about the possibility of taking an extra Diamox or another alternative. It's not going to hurt to ask and it's possible that you'll get some relief.
I was wondering if you also have more severe headaches during full moons? I know that it's off topic, but it's something that you may also want to look at if you don't already.
