Both long term and short term. I've actually had that problem for a very long time, long before diagnosed with IIH. But I guess whenever that IIH began probably like a few years ago then it just made the memory issue a little worse.
I think it's safe to say you're absolutely not alone in this one.
Hugs,

I too have memory loss - so much so that I find it difficult dealing day to day. OMG so frustrating. I am hoping that this shunt surgery will help somehow with this by maybe taking the excess pressure off my brain.
I forget the days, years, month just about everything its awful! I feel like I"m constantly floating and lost and I'm not on Topamax anymore. Uhh!

I used to have a huge freakin issue with this, its improving and i pray that things continue in this direction for me. I still forget things but nothing like before. Im sorry your going through this, i changed my diet, it wasnt an overnight improvement but gradual took about six months to get where im at now, and i continue to see good things i still have the pain, some anxiety, very few HA.
As for the memory issues, I am getting more and more frustrated daily. I cannot stand this! I have been one to always know where I was going, to be my mom's "human map" and now, oh, how I hate this...I have to use VZ Navigator, ON MY PHONE for directions...I am not cool with that, at all! (This is to familiar places, let me remind you...)
And appointments and such...I had an appointment last week. I had written it down somewhere, time, directions to the office, etc...and then forgot where I wrote it down!! I still cannot remember...luckily my brother remembered the time and all for me.
And I have always wanted to be a journalist...I love to write...but I do not see that happening with this! I swear, it is getting worse, even though I do not feel worse physically.
It is tiring to forget things and fight to remember them. :(
Hugs to each and every one of you!
I hate this. :(
