Shunt catheter hurts...really hurts...like really, really, really hurts. Like think of the thing that hurts you the worst and than multiply that times 1,000 hurts. That's not even how bad it hurts. It hurts times infinity (as my 9 year old would say.)
However, my shunt doesn't seem as swollen as it's been and my head isn't hurting...except when I turn upside down...so I've stopped doing cartwheels. : )
My guess is that with all the pain and swelling I've been having this thing is finally draining...but really? If they can't do more to help me I think I might die. For real!

So so sorry that this is all still so bad for you. Maybe going to the ER will force the NS to see you - is he at the hospital??
