So, I told you kids in another entry what a great day I had on Wednesday, and how....perhaps...I may have overdone things a bit.

So, what was my gift for getting caught up on chores and giving my husband a break???? Head pain that was off the charts and another trip back to the ER.

Doctor is putting me back on a steroid and another diuretic in addition to diamox. We'll see if I survive this!

Use your good days to breath clearly for a minute, and maybe only do 5 loads of laundry next time! I must say, I don't think I've done that much in chores when I didn't have a chronic illness! Too bad no good deed goes unpunished.

Hi MM3, it's been so long since I've been called a kid, made this old woman's day, lol.

Sorry you over did it and ended up in the ER. I know steroids can cause PTC but didn't know it could help PTC too (is the steroids for your pain?).

Yes, the steroid is helping as it is being used temporarily as an anti-inflammatory. It is used with caution as any steroid medication can cause unwanted long term side effects. And, as for me, I would rather not look like a large gorilla for the rest of my life. So I take the steroid for one week tapering the dosage down each day. The problem with this is that the last time I came off of the steroids I ended back up in the ER with PTC head pain and vomiting. While on the steroids, I feel as if I can accomplish anything. But, don't worry...I'll leave the laundry for another day. I'll just finish painting the room I started before I came down ill, the fumes should work wonders....Just kidding. Actually, I'm going to go with my hubby and the kids to see Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D...I need to get out of the house. And, the kids need to know that mom still exists. I hope each of you have a promising day, as I will as well. Thanks for the support as always.

Well, TJ...Thanks for asking.

I wore sunglasses out to shield my eyes from the sunlight. But, I think the girls were really glad to have me along. I had one sitting on each side of me. AND...I was a good girl. I passed on the high sodium movie popcorn that I LOVE SO MUCH, and the Crunch Bars that my youngest offered. I was tough. The movie was okay although I didn't feel that it lived up to all the hype. But, truthfully, that was never the point. It felt good just to be on a family outing and feel somewhat normal for the first time in a month. I even did my hair and makeup!!! I was absolutely exhausted by the time we got back home and crashed pretty hard...but it was worth the few hours I had with my kids. I wouldn't pass that up.

Glad to hear that. It kind of goes with my answer to your dilemma about the up coming holidays. What ever you do, it will be the right choice.
