The Aveeno bath helped me a bit, but since it has been hours now, they are JUST now starting to itch a little. I will definitely try Benadryl sticks and cream later!

Interesting about the tape. I have very red marks and even blisters where the tape was taken off my inscision bandages. Very red and irritated. Feel like layers of skin came off!
Cowgirl, I usually keep dabbing the benedryl lotion on for several days until the itch calms down. I have never tried nail polish! Will give that w whirl too!

as for keeping them away, eat lots of garlic.
i used to be like that, my mom never got bit by anything but i was being attacked. i fiannlly started likeing garlic and i stopped getting bit.
now i cook with garlic and none of my family gets bit by anything.

my incisions are closed with steri strips and I don't have to keep it bandaged anymore, just dry. I do have tape residue all over me that I tried rubbing off with baby oil. Then I washed the sores and put peroxide and neosporin on the raw skin and blisters. I haven't had that happen before. Ouchie!
I am actually getting around pretty well and much more comfortable this time around. Thanks for asking. My mother-in-law took my kids for the week so I just have to take it easy. :)
