I got a call from a new neurologist today. It sounds like my neurologist will not order my sleep study. So a new neurology office called me and talked with me today. It sounds like I may need to go to Grand Rapids to meet him or her.....I think my NO was fed up with trying to deal with the one here where I live.
How sad is this? I wish I lived in Indiana or Ohio.....this is ridiculous.

Stay strong, Aim! Am sad that you have to go all the way to GR, but for better care it'll be worth it. And, you never know if they might have recommendations for good care closer to home for you.

What a bunch of putz's who have treated you badly -- you're long overdue for some quality doctoring. Sending all good thoughts. :)

Thank you both. It amazes me when I come across bad medical care. I've been in the medical field for 20 years and if I treated my patients this way....I would get fired. How do they keep their jobs? Just plain awful.

I just want to understand my condition, make a differential diagnosis if possible. I am trying to lose the weight. I am working with a nutritionist. Frankly I am glad I am moving on. Blessings, Aim

Bummer you have to travel so far, but if the new one is good it will be worth it! I recently switched doctors (not IIH related) and doing so gave me much greater peace of mind. I had chosen the other one based on geographical convenience and found it to be a mistake. Hopefully you will feel well enough to not need to see him/her often!
