I had a similar reaction after my LP. I coulndt get out of bed the next day becasue my neck and back hurt so much. It took about a week to feel better. My Dr gave me some muscle relaxants zanaflex (was too weak) & flexaril(was stronger). I am not sure if they helped or if it was the time that helped. Try to rest as much as possible...hang in there!

Yes! I have had this happen many times. My neck pain is also running up the back of my head (this time) over my shoulder and down my left arm. When I move my neck or head facing downward I feel pain/pulling down my whole back. I do believe nerves are blocked in my neck.
I get a lot of relief from doing slow neck rolls to loosen up my neck.

I hope you feel better soon. I am going through the exact same thing right now. I know it's very painful.

I had this problem with both of my LP's. It lasted for a week or so. Have you called your doc and told them. When it happened they told me that it may be leaking and I may need a patch if it didn't get better. If you haven't already, I would suggest calling your neurologist.

I too had this happen after my first LP, and like others it took about a week to get better. I hope you get some relief soon. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

This is crazy. I haven't had an lp but I have wondered if all my new symptoms were from low pressure.

All my symptoms are completely different than before and this came on after having the four week period of no symptoms. ( not one symptom) I have wondered if the diamox was causing low pressure at this point. On the other hand my eyes are doing weird things too.

The ER doctor wanted to give me an lp last night and I refused. ugggh! I kinda wish I had let him. It would have answered a few questions, but it could have caused me so many more problems so I said absolutely not.

I have had this happen!!! Blood patch helped it a good deal, but my neuro sent me to physical therapy as well. The PT really didn't help that much, to be honest. I felt like I wasted a lot of money on that. What helped me the most was taking half a Vicodin a couple times a day, soaking in an epsom salt bath, and moist heat where it hurts. It eventually went away.

Well, I had neck, back and arm pain for over a month everyday.
Stiffness is gone as well. (so far)

Lowered the diamox and it's gone.
Does anyone know why this would be?

Could diamox have been making my pressure slightly low?
Has anyone else experienced this?

It has been at least a month since my LP and this is still happening. Can't figure out why or how to make it better. Hmmmmmm.....

I had something similar happen when i had my LP, for about 3 weeks, i had really bad low back pain, that made it very difficult to move at all. I found that going to the chiropractor and getting adjustments done, and also massages done weekly helped me alot., I had thought all this pain was due to the fact that they had such a difficult time doing the spinal tap on me.
