Neck popping

I'm full of questions today! :) I haven't been feeling good the past couple of days and I think my pressure is on the rise. Do you guys have a popping or crunching sound in your neck when you turn your head? It was one of the things I noticed before I was diagnosed and it stopped after the LP. Now, it's back. Just wondering what it is. My neck feels stiff and when I turn it feels like stuff is just popping and cracking in there. I keep describing it to my husband as "crunchy neck" and I bet he thinks I'm a nut job!

I too have this. It's awful! It's the worse in the morning. Every morning when I wake up, it feels like my whole neck is just ripping and tearing for a while until I stretch it out.

me too! But before the iiH/PTC findings I actually went through neck surgery to "fix" the problem, (Idid have a bulging disc, but the crunchies were there before the bulge) needless to say..still crunchy, I now have bulging discs above and below the site and arthritis.So now i'm not sure when my neck and back hurts which it is due to. lol That's why my signature is generally Junk Parts. hee hee! I understand completely, it is very bothersome to say the least!

you know I am really glad you posed this questions, because I have had this problem for a long time as well, looking back about the same time frame as these headaches, if not longer. I bet there is a connection. initially after the one LP I have had so far, it was awesome, could move it freely, no stiffness, popped like crazy (cause it always felt like huge knots in there all the time). could the stiff neck & other neck issues be a sign of the pressure being on the rise again? UGH...... so many wonders and unanswered questions with this illness, it's driving me koo-koo. again JT, thank you for bringing this up :0)

I have the same problem but I do have compressed vertebrates in my neck. when my pressure is up my neck feels different and when I turn my head I get what I think is tunnel vision. i actually was able (for the last month) to parallel park again.. it was awesome! but today I couldn't.. oh well I guess it couldn't last forever.

I, too, am glad this was posted because this has happened to me ever since I started on diamox. I find i'm often able to pop my neck when i feel my pressure is up and the popping relieves the pressure. Thought I was the only one!

I have had it for years!!! I am in my 15th yr with PTC!!!! Although I am new here!!! Omg I see everything I have in others here from the whacky blood pressure to the neck popping!!!!

It's nice to see the "normal" things that match isn't it Vicky!? It is better than a dry run of the mill symptom checker, This all gives us an AHA! I have that TOO moments. lol

JT - Im sorry to hear you have to deal with this too. as you know they are now looking into my neck being the cause of all of this. from the beginning my neck and shoulders has been constatnly tight/stiff and achy. they keep disregarding it as anything to do w/ PTC. I am hoping for a result on my MRI in the next few days, hopefully that will give me some answers and maybe a new sujesstion for all of you to look into.
I know neck pain is horrible, it causes everything else to be tence too, for me that includes my jaw, I now have tmj as well! lovely! anyways, i hope your day is going well and i wish you a pain free week.
