My ears are driving me insane!!!!!!

So the whooshing sound is constant now. And, I feel like they are plugged up. It's like they need to pop, but they won't. My hearing is even muffled. I have been on 500 mg of diamox for close to 6 weeks. Shouldn't the meds make this go away? Do you think I need a higher dosage? I swear it's slowly driving me completely batty!!!!!!!!!

I really think that I would feel alot better also with out the woosing sounds...IT MAKES ME NUTS!

I just need to say it again, "I LOVE THIS BOARD!!" It is so informative and so helpful. Often, I think I am beginning to imagine my symptoms becuase they change. I start out the day with the cotton-stuffed ears and want to just pop them to make them clear (it never works). Then as the day progresses I begin to hear a chorus of crickets chirping. But it is still daylight and nobody else hears them. I never do get the phone ringing sound...

And, I mostly love the Board for the moments of laughter I get from it. Often, it is the only enjoyment I get out of my miserable day. Today, JT1973 gets the prize with

JT, I have had ringing in ears most all my life due to hearing lose and yes I have the whooshing and popping sound on top of that now!!!! It's enough to drive a sane person bonkers I say!!!! I have had PTC for over 15 years was diagnosed about 10 yrs ago but none of my neuos have ever prescribed anything for this so your question has been a learning experience for me!!!!
