What is up with doctors cancelling or rescheduling or just not being on time lately.
I had an issue with my Internal Medicine doctor a few weeks back and ended up not being able to be seen. And then this week I had my neuro apt which I was looking forward to and I show up and there was a bus load of elderly people from a nursing home. I ended up having to leave and reschedule because I waited so long, they kept telling me I was next but I was so far past my apt time I had to get back to work. So they rescheduled me, the soonest they could get me in.....AUG 25th! grr

Where Dr's are pushed to schedule 3 or 4 patients for the same time slot upon recommendation of Health Care Companies.
If they don't meet quotas, the Insurance companies won't do business with the Dr.
Since this is now common practice among Insurance Companies that means if a Dr does not comply s/he would hardly be able to practice medicine or take patients, because he would never be able to be an "In Network " Provider.
Therefore, learn to love the waiting room and be prepared for Dr's who are stressed and ready to run out the door-be prepared to sprint down the hallway with your list of questions!
