I have high blood pressure, which came out of nowhere. I have problems when I have my labwork - cbc checked. I have an elevated white blood count and an elevated platelet count. No one knows why. Been that way for at least 6 years. I was taking asprin for the platelet count so I wouldn't get a clot, but because of the diamox I had to stop.

My primary care doctor told me that I have polycystic ovarian condition syndrome - though I have never gotten cysts on my ovaries. The only problem is I don't get my period every month...More like every 3.

I have a Vitamin D defficiency.

I also have asthma.

I have neck pain too. And lower back pain. Sometimes my legs feel weak too. I'm not sure why?

I have a high white blood cell count... they have even checked for Leukemina... But didn't have it.. I have severe allergy, sinus and ear problems which are worse on my right side where my IIH headaches are.

Wow its gonna be hard to find out if this is primary or secondary for me
Maimee= i know that i do have a cyct on my ovary but havent had it looked at or anything in about 2 years.

My daughter is 14 and has IIH, Lupus, and Vasculitis. For those with kidney/bladder problems, tell your doctors to run a full batch of bloodwork and check for ANA or ANCA. This is how my daughter's was found. They do not run for it in normal testing. We had thought that she had been run for everything in the almost year and a half that we were trying to get her diagnosed.

I know mine is secondary because of the small ventricles and blood clots.
But I also have thyroid issues, Poly Cystic Ovarion Syndrome, problems with my insulin which goes hand in hand with PCOS so I have to take meds to balance that or I'll become diabetic, I also have acid relfux, and high cholestrol.
This is totally out of control for a 25 year old!!!
I totally believe you Wandx - when is it going to stop??? I had most of this before my IH diagnosis but sometimes I feel so out of place with so many problems. Yikes is all I can say. IH has been the hardest though - this one threw my life upside down.

I was completely healthy until IIH. I have acid reflux, but I knew that was due to being overweight ( as I didn't have it until I gained weight). I was overweight, but the same weight, and healthy for years. I got carpal tunnel in May 2010, and my neuro has a theory that the steriod injection to my wrist which triggered a 20 pounds gain in two months was enough to trigger my IIH as well. I'm 25 pounds lighter now and symptoms are almost gone! I know everyone's different, but am thankful I may have an answer for me.

april4688 --- I was just told by my primary care dr., that woman with the polycystic ovarian condition are prone to getting IH. I don't think I have that, I think I was just given that diagnosis because they couldn't think of anything else? Seems pretty silly to me.

interesting topic and I love House! I have fibromyalgia and a possible sleep apnea. My headaches come AFTER the neck stiffness and neck pain. I was not diagnosed with poly cystic ovarian syndrome, but had numerous ovarian cysts and eventually a complete hysterectomy because of fast growing cysts. I also have compressed vertebrae in my neck.

my Mom just got diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia and I just was diagnosed with PTC last year. could this be heriditary or something???? its weird that we both have these problems all of a sudden. the dr checked her for PTC but said her eyes looked great. she also weighs 100lbs soaking wet. Do these 2 diseases have something in common????
