Daily headaches means you have at least 1 headache every day. It doesn't matter if it lasts half an hour or all day, it's all classified the same.

Chronic headaches are 15+ headaches every month.

When I say HA, I mean HA as in pressure. My migraines are a different diagnosis and a different type of pain. I can distinguish between them easily, and know my migraine triggers.

Personally, I have had a daily headache that lasts all day, for the past 4 years. I haven't had a single day of no pain- I wake up and go to sleep with that awful pressure headache. Migraines come maybe 2x a month.

I had 24/7 headaches, that ranged from a 5-8/10 every day. It was a pressure sensation, like my head was in a vice. Everything made it worse so a quiet dark room became my best friend :)
My neuro kept trying to say I was having atypical migraines, but migraine meds didn't help and if it was a migraine it was definitely anything but typical, so atypical that it wasn't a migraine after all.
Not everyone here as 24/7 headaches though, like MC said. Some have them a couple of times a week. Although I don't have migraines I have heard it is very common for IH patients to get pressure headaches along with other types of headaches, like migraines.
May I ask how your headaches are changing?
Oh, I would like to add that if you ever get headaches or head pain that doesn't sound like any type of headache you know of, it may just be the IH doing something strange. For example I would get deep pressure pain that was in my right temple that would be 8/10 and last for 5 minutes and then go away or I would have one sided pressure headaches, but my neuro said that IH can do weird things. If this is the case it will probable go away after a couple of months.

I get a dull sinus type headache every day . A couple of days a month I get a migraine, feel lie I have been hit over the head with a sledge hammer migraine.

I have head pressure pain every day now, but I didn't for about 3 months after diagnosis. My ears and neck take the most of it with pressure felt in eyes and all over head. Some days I get a break during the mid morning, but by mid afternoon, it's all back.

I have a headache most days, ranging from a 1 to a 10. My 10 keeps getting set to a higher level. I have a couple of days off every week where I don't have a headache. Sometimes I can tell whether it is an IH headache, a migraine, or a tension headache. Sometimes they are all layered on there and I have no idea at all what they are. My relatively new record is four weeks at a 10.

Pain meds take the edge off a little, but more importantly they put me to sleep. I get a few hours of relief. I'm only allowed to take any pain med, from tylanol to hydrocodone only 2 days a week.
