Having so much trouble with my scalp

Does anyone else have trouble with their scalp?Mine will breakout and itch like crazy. I have tried all kinds of medicated shampoos. I am having a very itchy day today. It started yesterday. I use to have my hair falling out went from 1500 mg a day of diamox to 1000 mg a day and it stopped. Any advise would be so nice.

My daughter has this same problem with her scalp itching and she gets a spot on the top of her head that seems to seep out fluid of some sort. I think it must be psoriasis or something? She uses the dandruff shampoo and the tar kind and seems to get relief from that. She is 11

my daughter is not on diamox but gets what I would call scabs on her scalp. Took her to doc and it's not psoriasis and not sure what it is, but gave her medicagted shampoo and it helps somewhat. I'm afraid it's just another lovely side affect of the IH>

It's the diamox.
Mine stopped itching after I stopped the diamox.

A pharmacist gave me an anit-itch gel...she said that it is common for diamox to cause this.

I dont have the itchy scalp, but I was on 1250 mg of diamox a day and my hair fell out to the point I was suprised I didn't go bald. I would shower and wash my hair and handfuls of hair would fall out. My hair was everywhere. Like a dog that sheds really bad. I did go off diamox on Aug 31 when I had my first VP shunt placed and the hair loss has basically stopped, though I did have to cut most my hair off after the surgery. I have a boys haircut now but still have long bangs. My hair is starting to fall out again and I am not on meds so I am not sure why its happening. But when someone is sick, hair can fall out. Sorry it is that way, but it is and it sucks.

Oh well. I need to cover my gray bad. I really do not want to do it if my scalp is itching like this. My gray is taking over.

My daughter is not on diamox either and seems to suffer from itchy scalp,and a scab spot on the crown of her head. Very similar to you.. 'ihateptc'...
