I always have dry mouth, even off Diomax. I guess its the pain meds.
I drink gallons of water every day, good job I like it!
I also found the sugar free gum helps with dry mouth.
Mary, like everything about us now, we have to take super good care of all our body. Right down to our teeth. I have always been good at taking care of my teeth, but have upped their care since I got sick.
I do at times get some blood from my teeth and its usually means I am getting anemic.
I also find canker sores a sign that I am run down, again. Its really hard at times to keep our bodies up to full par, but a trip to the drs wouldn't go a miss. See what your bloods say. We should, of course, have our bloods done every 4-5 months, if on Diomax. But I find some drs are reluctant to do this.Make them,ok? Cath
Have you ever heard of "oil pulling"? Basically, you take a tablespoon of extra virgin, cold-pressed coconut oil (make sure it is liquid) and you rinse with it for twenty minutes. This is an ancient remedy for many ills...I do it every day. You can use sesame oil also. I actually keep the oil in my bathroom, just for that use. But for coconut oil, it should be liquid because it does get solid and that can be tough...but read about this and see if this will help. :-)
