tomorrow, 7/11 I will be getting a VP shunt placed. I've researched so much and still am not confortable doing this but I don't know where else to go. HA's are just too severe, medicine not working, spinal taps are the only thing that works but only for a few weeks. Can't keep getting them every 3 weeks or so. Wish i could just clear my mind of everything and just get it done. Thanks for listening.

Now, only positive thoughts! You have made a huge decision to have this done. You are taking back some control of your life and only good will come from this.
Recovery, is a bit strange. You think it will be your head will be the problem but 9 times out of 10, its the stomach site that hurts.
Be gentle and patient with yourself. Give your body some time to heal.
