Hmmm....I had not really thought of that. So my answer would have to be no, not that I have noticed.

I had not heard to stay away from caffeine...interesting. I have had ppl ask me if certain foods or "allergies to foods" can cause PTC. I do not know the answer either, would be great to find out.

yes. Salty foods.
My NO keeps telling me Pizza causes a lot of his patients to have higher pressure.
Gatorade.
Sugar

Also.. You may want to look up natural diuretic foods. It will give you a list of foods that prevent water retention.
It will also give you a list of foods to stay away from.
For instance.. Celery is on the list. I would have never thought celery would cause water retention.

Everyone, keep in mind that a lot of us still suffer from migraine. So, check the list for the foods to stay away from that might trigger an attack.And it stands to reason, for me, this would apply to all IIHs .

Wine, red in particular.
Cheese.
Chocolate, mostly dark.
Citrus friuts.
These are main culprits. Its woth a check. Cath.

Oh God, pizza. No wonder I am always in pain! LOL that's the one junky food I can't give up.

My doctor mentioned also besides the foods listed by other people here that regular sleep is very important as well as keeping a normal schedule for migraine sufferers.
So I try to do both regular sleep and schedule...but I don't have kids yet so its easy for me to talk....!!!

I think there are a gazillion and one triggers for headaches including the drugs we use to try to reduce our ICP and or help HA pain.

As for triggers that might cause an increase in our ICP. I haven't the foggiest if there are any other than the list of those drugs that cause secondary IIH.
