PCP just put me on Fentanyl patch for chronic long term pain...we'll see how this goes.

I am about to go back on it the patch too. My body is going through some weird stuff and my docs think it is safer for me. Who knows, but I know how you feel- I have some anxiety about going back on it, but it is a constant input of pain meds. I never had the crushing pain when I was on it before!
So- I guess this is best luck to both of us!
Caiti was on those for awhile - it didn;t work very well for her - but, hey, everyone's diiferent....good luck with it.
I do remember that we had to rotate the places where the patch was put because it could get rashy on the spot when you take the patch off. Maybe have some cortisone cream ready.

I am not sure how they have your dosage schedule but I am sure you know by now the sooner take, or in this case apply the med, the better pain control you will have.
I think the patches are a great idea...less GI upset.
