Hi Mary. I haven't heard any one mention this in some time but yes, some have had it done. I think it is quite simple, no pain, and gives a different view, to the drs, of your optic nerves.

I get one every time I go to the optha. Any test they want to give me to make sure I am okay, is fine with me, as long as it's safe. They give me about 8 tests when I am there.

I had this done @ Er once. Not a big deal really. No pain. They just roll a thing across eye can't remember if I had to keep eye open or closed while they did it. It was just weird to think they were going to put something in/over eye and take picture but once I realized it didn't hurt no big deal.

I have had an eye ultrasound...and boy is it strange!! They put the slipery goop stuff on your eye and start moving around just as I think they may with a pregnant women - only this is on your eyes. It is not painful so y ou don't have to worry about that. They did this in the beginning with me with my paps and I have something called an eye drusen.
hope this helps you and gets you some answers. The worst part is getting the stickly stuff off your eye lids. Yuck! But could be much worse.

Your eyes are closed when they do this.
They put the goop on your lids and run the "camera" on your lids.
It tickles, really.
It feels good.
No worries.
