Is there one??? I know this subject has been touched upon before, but I don't recall if anyone came up with any clear answers. While I've suffered from terrible headaches for over 20 years, it is true that my body didn't get all out of whack until I moved into my current home. What is so interesting about that is that we live on Lake Ontario, only about 5 miles from the Ginna Nuclear Power Plant. Once we moved into our beautiful, newly built home, my headaches worsened, the whooshing noise started, I gained approximately 30 pounds, etc., etc.
Back in the 80's when nuclear arms where the subject of much debate, I recall being a young adolescent who had watched a documentary on Nuclear Power Plants and the contamination they were known to cause. As a young girl, that movie had a huge impact on me and I made a promise to myself that I would NEVER live near one of these plants. How ironic that I am sitting here today. Who knew?
Do any of you have information on this subject? TJ...has this topic ever been covered at the IIH conferences? Any info you can provide would certainly be helpful.

Not sure how big the IIH population is in So Cal but we have a nuke plant between LA and San Diego. Between the 2 metro areas it is more than half of CA population and CA has more people than the country of Canada. If there was a correlation I would have a lot more local friends.
From what I remember from my days in engineering school, nuclear power is very clean and runs with in a closed system. It is when the "closed" system is compromised that deadly consequences can occur. That would be a much worse day then my current bad days, lol.

It's still weird considering those states also have nuclear power plants.
Also, I don't know if it would affect others the same way, the radioactive elements change our genes.. causing them to split. I would imagine it could have a different effect on everyone. They do know for sure it contributes if not causes cancer. That's enough to scare me.
One of my concerns before we moved to Iowa was cancer. I know that sound like crazy talk, but my husband had lost 6 family members in 5 years to cancer. Two of which were on in their early 50's. I swore something was in the water.
As far as finding more information there are very vague reports on nuclear plants causing neurological damage. However, it is very vague. I don't think we would find anything specific even if the information was out there, something like that would be buried very deep.
P.s this illness defies logic. lol
There does seem to be a rather large concentration of IH suffers in the California region or is it just you are all on here?!
I have a huge world map on our wall, charting our daughters travells but I think I will pin some of your areas and see if there is any pattern.... I know people in England and in the eastern countries as well.
