It's basically a humidifer. So if your coughs are from dry air it'll help. If you think you're getting sick, the warm ones work even better! It's bad to use them on a daily basis though (the warm ones) I use a cool one daily and I love it!

We have the cool one in the house so my mom put it on by me tonight...it is not helping at all!

The flu is just wicked this year. Everyone is getting sick all year round, not just winter.

Did you see your doctor? He needs to listen to your chest. If it sounds like pnumonia she may want to take a chest x-ray to see if you have pnumonia. Or you may have bronchitis. Either would need antibiotics. Best case is the flu or a cold. That's lots of fluid and rest, and some cough medicine. I had that flu on and off for 2 months. I felt at times like I was coughing up a lung. And just when I thought I was over it back it came. Ugh.

Sea, it ended up being a really bad upper respiratory infection. So she put me on an antibiotic, a muscle relaxer (because I am coughing so hard that I have pulled muscles like hell and also vomited a few times) and I am taking cough medicine.

I did not wake up coughing last night, so it helped some!
