There are other brands out there as well. Walmart is carrying the ONE brand of coconut water. I haven't tried yet but it was cheaper than the brand I buy. You can also find it in any asian or hispanic store. They usually sell it in a can for $.99 - $1.09.
You can also drain the water from a whole coconut. You will only get about 4 ounces of water from it. I tried it and could not take the taste of it.
Really? Are you on Topamax? It makes lots of stuff taste weird. Diamox can do that, too. I love coconut water straight out of a chilled coconut (still in the husk). If you only get a little water the coconut is not at the right stage. If memory serves me right I drank about 2 cups out of a big one. No adjustment needed for me. I loved it from the start. Maybe it was because it was so unbearably hot and I was so darn thirsty!

I have been touting the benefits of coconut water on this site for months and months...
It also replaces potassium...it's as important as water if you ask me.
Also, for those of us who want to stay looking young, two servings a day plumps our our skin and helps stave off wrinkles.
So, drink up!

I didn't know coconut water kept away wrinkles. I've been drinking Zico ever since you suggested it to me months ago. I usually drink a bottle a day but now that I know there's an added benefit I may have to bump it up to 2 a day.
For those of you who can not find it at local stores, vitacost.com sells many varieties at a very low cost.
RE: Coconut Milk- Coconut Milk, the unflavored variety has only 90 calories per serving. You do get a good deal of Potassium and it has the added benefit of being fortified with Vitamin D, B12 and Calcium- more than what is in regular milk, so it is not a bad choice for cooking, baking, or to put in cereal. It is a good choice if you are lactose intolerant like me, and it does give 25% of Vitamin D which in liquid form is very easy for the body to digest. . I might consider comparing skim milk and unflavored coconut milk label and see which have the nutrients that are more beneficial to you.
