Can't see offer eyes dialated two days ago

Hey every one.. It's harder then heck for me to type this cuz I can badly see lol but two days ago I had my eyes dialated to check the swellin in my eyes cuz I have papiledema.. Now I still can't see at close range..can't drive! Feels like I need glasses but my vision had always been good! It was 20/20 two days ago! Hope I'm not going blind from this! Is this normal two days after gettin ur eye examnine?thanks...Krystal

Hi there speaking from experience I have papilledema and that in itself can cause visual disturbances. I would recommend that you contact your dr to see if there is something else going on. I don't know much about the lasting effects of dialation but you wouldn't think it would last that long. Hope this is helpful

Yes thanks....That's that's what I've done..I'm due to see my hoc this evening..I'm hoping that now that I'm on my pills it can restore my vision back to perfect and get rid of the papiledema

I felt that way two days after one of my dilations . It took me three days to see outside without pain ! I think the Op put too much of those drops in my eyes . They said it can happen .

My eyes take three days after dilation drops to recover!!! They stay dilated and I can't see crap!!

Ohh yea and I'm on my way to see the eye dic again! If that assistant lady says anything about adding more drops in my eye ohh heck no she gon hear it! Lol

Did you know , that, brown eyes, darker colour eyes need twice as many drops as a blue eye does? Little bit of trivia for you folks! Cath.

When I get drops, very dark brown eyes , me, it burns for about 12 hrs and then sore for a day or two.C.

I went bac lastnight and told the I still couldn't see.. Come to find out the lady said by mistake she put the wrong kind of drops n my eye!!! Due to the bottle being mislabeled..never again will I ever let anybody in that clinic put drops of any sort n my eye lol

I like to have my eyes dialated I see better with out glasses when they dialiate my eyes. I never knew dark eyes needed more. That is crazy they pput the wrong drops. I hope you see again soon.

In my experience, most eye docs are used to doling out the same amount and type of eye drops to everyone, probably since there are more brown-eyed people in the world. I have very pale blue eyes. After suffering through too many drops (unbeknown to me) many times, I brought up to my doc last appointment that the drops always give me a terrible headache and make me feel ill the rest of the day, so he kept it to just one drop per eye. He also told me that, at least in his office, they only stock one kind of drops which they use on everyone who is getting dilated. My eyes dilated just fine using only one drop each instead of 2. I only got the slightest little headache, and I didnt feel ill the rest of the day. My advice to anyone with non-brown eyes who is bothered by the drops would be to always speak up and remind your doctor that you have a sensitivity to the drops and to ask them to please use only 1 drop per eye on you.
