I recommend using the "zoom" feature. It makes the text larger so you don't have to strain your eyes as much. You can find it under "view" on your browser's toolbar.

I understand. I found any use of my eyes either causes a headache or makes one I already have worse. It's why I havn't been in the forum lately. I spend a lot of my time eyes closed (while my head is packed in ice). They are closed on and off anyway when my head hurts.

My eyes hurt too. Also ears. Hven't found a fix.

One thing I found very helpful for myself, I use a laptop and desktop. I have raised my monitor for the desktopp so I do not have to bend my neck at all to look down at the screen. I have done the same with the laptop, I have a breakfast in bed tray with adjustable legs on it, I then put a tall book under the laptop so it is at eye level. I only have to move my eyes to read instead of slanting down at the screen.
I had so many issues after using the computer because of neck pain, HA, moving eyes too much, HA, and dizzyness. Did I say HA? lol

Mary mentioned adjusting the height of the monitor to make it easier on the neck, which really helps me at least. I also found that, while highly tempted to sit in a dark room and type it helps if I keep the room about the same brightness as the monitor, and frequently look at other things in the room. I wish I knew how to make it not hurt at all @_@

Sunglasses, that the way to go.
I usually can only get time at the computer, late in the evening and my eyes are done by then.
I also have a standing lamp, next to the computer, lose wattage, it seems to deflect the glare.
I also push the computer away from me, and bring the print up to 150%.
Sometimes it doesn't work as my eyes are too tired to focus.

I also put cold slices of cucumber on my eyes, and or warm tea bags.
Very soothing.

I was at my Dr yesterday and told her my eye drops ( for dry eye)were not really working anymore. She said this can happen, you build up a resistance to them and she prescribed a new one. Hopefully it will help.

Can I also tag on here,book lovers? If you are one but find reading a book, difficult, tiring, blurry,and hurting your eyes, may I suggest a Kindle?
I got one last year and it has changed my reading life!

I have a Kindle with a key board but they are producing new types all the time, with better functions and cheaper.

I have Dyslexia as well as paps.
For some reason, I think its the background, I can read so much longer now and no extra hd.
I know when you have paps, it hurts to move your eye balls as you would norm,ally do when you read. But , this is narrow, all the way down so yo only have to move your eyes a little bit.

I would highly recommended this to any book lovers. Cath
