That is funny-I could only take one a day because the second would give me a headache. I took it before IH though, I was on it because I have a torn ACL from a motorcycle crash in 2006. Good luck with it. They say the Nucynta I am on is just a stronger version of the tramadol.

I am already feeling loopy - I can't imagine taking this EVERYDAY!

...I guess I would get used to it eventually, but this is very funky.

And I don't want a headache tomorrow :(

i take 2 with a mid level headache (4-5 on pain scale) and it takes the edge off. doesnt make it go away completely. if i want to sleep, i'll add 2 benedryl with it and can usually get a good 6 hours of sleep from that. i havent had any side effects from it.

I tried it for about a month. I typically get between 2-4 hours sleep a night. Tramadol increased that by a half hour. In other words, it didn't work. Didn't affect headaches, didn't affect my seizures. Nada. Nothing.

Crap. Should I be taking this before bed?? I can't remember what the doctor said, but maybe that would be better. Although, I was so goofy and loopy when I first took it, I can't imagine being able to sleep right away.

So far today has been loopy, sleepy, loopy, etc. Not productive at all and spurts of little pain here and there. I guess it is helping the pain a bit...

i only take it when i know i can rest after. it seems to help with the pain caused by the headache. not the headache pain but the rest of it, the neck pain, achy shoulders, ear pain, etc. you know how the longer you have a headache you get tense and get all that other pain... tramadol calms that down. it sounds crazy what i'm writing, we need meds for the pain caused by our pain. sheesh.

I take this 3x's a day with no side effects what-so-ever. No tiredness or anything. It helps with the daily headaches I have, but when the HA's get to a 9/10 it does nothing. Hope it works for you!

Thank you all so much. So far, I feel like a narcoleptic, but otherwise the pain is definitely minimized (this includes pain that I have been experiencing from my Crohn's disease as well!). I switch it to taking it at nighttime, instead of morning and that helped me get out for a little bit today, so that was nice, but then I came home and enjoyed a 4 hour nap!

I'm hoping my body will eventually adjust to it, but, for now I am enjoying the super deep sleeps!

This is a very weak narcotic, however it is effective for some people. I didn't do anything for me, in fact I didn't even know they gave it to people until I got PTC because my dog takes it PRN(as needed) after having knee surgery years ago. When the doc prescribed it, I was like uhh, my dog takes that, are you sure it is people medicine, he laughed and said nope!
Narcotics are different for everyone so if it works for you go for it. I think with most narcotics the loopy feeling wears off after a while as your body becomes adjusted to the drug. I am sure you already know this but remember even though it is a low strength it is still a narcotic and you shouldnt quit taking it without talking to your DR first.
