Well, went to my NO today and I have papilla edema around my right optic nerve. About 20x's a day my vision goes cloudy in that eye but resolves in about 10 sec's. NO worried that one day cloudiness won't clear and will be blind in that eye.
He wants me to go back to my NS and make sure my shunt is working, if it is he will talk to me about optic nerve fenestration. I have read about it but don't really know what to expect (like recovery time, pain issues).
Went and saw my PCP and this is the first time I felt like he thought I was drug seeking, though I didn't ask him for any pain pills. I'm been taking my pain pills that I have at home for my shoulder pain (that I got when I woke up from my last srugery).
I get tired of talking about all this stuff, but yet I posted, lol.

See, I think the surgery sounds scarier than it is... but hopefully you won't need it.
I bet he meant bloodpressure. I really notice when my bloodpressure goes up... anger, exercise. More fluid in the veins= more fluid in the head= more pressure in the head.

That would've been great if you would've told her to park in the tent. She would have had the best seats in the house. LOL.
I appreciate the information. Because, when I did have papilledema, I didn't have blurred vision or eye pressure. In fact I wouldn't have known I had it, if it weren't for the doctors telling me so. I just get horrible head pain with it.
Hang in there friend. I've no doubt that with all you've gone through, this has to come to an end soon. Hopefully, this will be your last surgery.

Bax, you can stay anytime! Even though SF is colder than south. Ca., lol. Yes, that makes more sense with the blood pressure. See if you lived here we could go to the Dr. together!

Hi Wolvie, yes too many surgeries but then again anything to prevent me from going blind I is fine with me. This disease is very tricky, lucky us, hugs.
Hi MM3, yes the second time I was dx. I couldn't tell if my optic nerves were swollen until the NO told me they were. Amazing how they do that pressure/glaucoma test and my eyes are always fine, which is good. Stange things happen at music festivals and some to strnge to even tell, lol. Blessings
