I lnow EXACTLY how you feel. I experienced all you described and it is indeed a terrible feeling as a wife and mother. I also want to encourage you to hang in there, it got so much better for me! I was on diamox for about 5 months before I began to feel better. Do only what you can and it sounds like you're being creative already with the showers (ashamedly I had two day showeless spurts!). I don't know how old you kids are but mine were 9 & 12 and I had them make some easy meals by telling tjem step by step. They loved it and enjoyed helping me. Keep your head up and don't neat youtself up, ot makes it worse.

I'm sorry I don't recall ....how much and what meds are you on? and how long have you been on them ?

Faye I am on effexor, naproxen,oxycodone,propanalol ,paxil and hctz. I am off the diamox for now. This is what started this roller coaster . My bp went crazy and I would get all hot, sweaty and dizzy getting ready for work and would stay that way just about all day until i got home and laid down. Today I took my baby to the doctor and same thing. I did notice the ringing was a bit more pronounced today too.

I'm on Diamox ER caps and have been since April 2011. In July I went from 500 to 2000 mgs over the next month and started feeling better towards the end of September. I'm weaning back down now so keep me in prayer!

Those are some heavy hitter meds. I'm sorry I don't have good news for you.

Naproxen even by itself is especially hard on the kidneys.

Right now there is an open lawsuit for Paxil...I don't know what the use indications are nor the stipulations are in their entirety but I highly suggest you read from this website as it can not only apply to you but if you used Paxil while pregnant...http://paxillawsuitsettlement.com/

From what I read about the Paxil though you probably don't really need the propanalol nor the HCTZ if you weren't diagnosed with hypertension until after you got on the Paxil.
Your regimen has one major interaction; it is between the Paxil and Effexor

It does sound like you are having a reaction of some kind that is putting you in danger.
If your husband knows exactly what is going on then he will be more likely to give you the benefit of the doubt that you have a serious problem.
Have him punch in your med list of drugs that you have had doses of in the last 24hrs into the interactions check on www.drugs.com and also visit the other legal link I provided you with.

You should tell your doctor and/or pharmacist about this as soon as possible, but CONTINUE taking all of your meds as prescribed until instructed on if/how to stop.

Like Michael said, Drugs.com is really good. You can save your med list and even add to it or delete meds you are no longer on. I print mine and take it to appmnts with me. I have read that Effexor can cause some symptoms like you describe. Thats all I could find myself, however.
