My suggestion, if you feel safe doing so.. and are not having SI's .. talk to you dr about weaning off of it, or stop taking it for a few days.. and see what happens? See if it makes a difference?
P.s When do they not look at us like we are crazy!! =)
I totally understand you want to enjoy your vaca! .. I live 2 hrs from Disney. You'll love it. You'll have to try the new app -- if you have an I-phone ? Its supposed to help you get around the park and tell you ride wait times. It looked really cool!
I have bad bad anxiety, but its not 24/7 .. so I'd prefer to just taking something when I feel the panic attack coming on. Like Xanax or Klonipin. However some of these drugs are Vaso-Dialators which consict the blood vessels in the brain, and do cause head aches.
Id much rather take that than Prozac.
As far as Benzo's go. Its kind of like Narcotics. They CAN be addictive. If you have an addictive personality. I have been on them for almost 3 years ( as needed) . I have worried about becoming dependent on them too. I am prescibed 4 a day, but I rarely even take them once a day, I can go several days without taking them at all.. I take them AS NEEDED.
Its all about self control. Just as it is with pain meds.
I think you might be better off going to see a Phychatrist to handel your meds.. ( just a suggestion) .. I have been down this road many times before.. and when I was seeing the GP.. i found that they werent as knowldgeable , and didnt listen to my concerns, like the Phych doctors do.
