UTI!!!!!!!!

I have a UTI it has gotten bad. I am hurting so bad. I can not pee. I can not pee. No job, no money, no insurance. I will see if the Good Samaritan Clinic is open and taking walking ins in the morning. My luck, no. I have taken AZO standard pills twice and some Azo cranberry pills they are not helping. Then again if I had not taken them there is no telling how bad it would be. I even spend about an hour soaking in the bathtub. It is 3:37Am and I can't sleep.

I am sorry that you are in so much pain but you need to either go to the ER or to the clinic. I'm sure i don't need to tell you that a UTI can go to your kidneys and then lead to other problems.

There, they can at least give you an anti-biotic. Please go.

I used to worry about the insurance issue thing as well, but call the hospital they will send you an application for financial assistance, most of the time they write the whole thing off, and will also cover you for the calendar year for certain procedures and imaging free of charge.

Sorry should have posted. I called the clinic and it closed at 12:00 today. Since I was up till 6;00 in the morning. I did not get up till 11:30. They said I would have to come pick up an application and bring it back with all the documentation they need to see me. I will do this Mon. morning. When I woke up this morning the pressure and pain was sooooooo much better. I am going to try and hold off till Monday. If I can't I'll go into the ER. Thank you so much for asking. I have been battling this for a long time. It is past time to get it fixed!!

I finally saw someone today about my UTI. I got 10 days of bactrim ds. I sure hope that is not one of the antibiotics we're not suppose to take. Anyone know?

I get chronic bladder infections its just something my body does. So I actually have a prescription (Nitrifurantoin Macro 100mg) that my OBG/YN gives me to keep at home if I feel that I'm getting one. I also take those cranberry pills she says it can't hurt since I get recurrent UTI's so frequently. Some peoples bodies just get them more often than others. I have taken bactrim earlier this year a couple rounds (from a different set of UTI's...it was a bad month!)of it and was fine but then again I have headaches all the time so I don't know how I would respond any differently to it.
Feeling for you - I struggle with this too and it sucks! Hope these pills help, drink lots of water, and of course cranberry juice can't hurt...

I don't think antibiotics affect all of us the same. I've had a couple of infections which required me to use them and they didn't affect my condition. But you should try to find if you have an adverse reaction and balance the need of them in some situations, such as a prolonged infection as you described you have endured.

There are families of antibiotics that they say may have attributed to IIH. It is Tetracycline, Nalidicic acid and Nitrofurantoin. I did not take my list with me to the doctor. I would rather stay away from them, if you know what I mean.
