I dont really know who is following my posts, but I went to Seattle to the Swedish Pituitary Center and i finally visited with a neuroendo and a neurosurgeon and i was very happy with the results, they said that im one of the more expreme cases that they have seen regarding prlactinomas and feeling like crap all the time.
Im very glad my hubby and my mom were there because it was alot to take in and it was kind of surreal.
The neurosurgen, Marc Mayberg said that im in the 5% of people who cant take the meds and tolerate them, so he said that the next best option for me is to have the surgery, and that it is the perfect time to take it out beings its only 4mm with very few risks. He doesnt want to take it out later because of the risk of it growing and causing more damage.
He also answered alot of my questions before I even asked them, like how experienced he is. He has done over 2000 pituitary surgeries and does about 2 a week and has been in practice for 34 years.
So, I hve also talked with my family and we all feel that surgery is the best option for me so I scheduled for my MRI on January, 14th and surgery for January, 15th. I only takes 90 minutes tops for the surgery to be done and they are keeping me close by to make sure I dont have any complications and to also run tests.....

They said that the damage risk to the gland is pretty low because the size of the tumor is small.
I dont think that ill be on meds after because my levels are only about 60, but it depends on the surgery I guess, but he said that with the size of the tumor, Ill be at a 90-95% cure rate. I hope that is the case because I really cant take the meds.
