Hi everyone--it's tough to find good pituitary doctors out there, so I invite folks to post the names of doctors or med centers that they have had good experiences with. In the interest of keeping this posting positive, I suggest posting POSITIVE experiences. It's too tempting to rant about the bad ones!
Here are some suggestions from me:
UCSF Pituitary Center in San Fran (my current doctor, Dr. Blevins, is here). They claim to be the best pituitary center on the West Coast, and in the top 5 nationally. I must say, I've been impressed. I do a lot of research on my own, and my doc always seem to be up on the latest research.
I've been to Dr. Inzucchi at Yale (CT) and Dr. Verbalis at Georgetown (DC), both a few years back, and was really happy with them both.
I've heard that UCLA and Emory also have great pituitary centers, but I can't vouch for them personally. In general, I've had most luck going to doctors associated with a major medical school/university. They seem to stay on top of the latest research.
Any other suggestions?

I went to Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica Calif. to Dr. Daniel Kelly. It has been nothing Short of a miracle what the surgery has done for me. A profound change in all aspects of my life. I knew that I could not live my life taking the Cab or Bromo, I did not tolorate it well and the thought of being on it for years and dealing with the side effects was not an option. So surgery was my last ditch effort and it was the best decision that I have ever made.
Dr. Kelly is one of the top ten surgeons in the country and patients fly in from all over the world and country to seek his and his staff's expertise. I had zero complications and after a few months experienced a dramatic change in my life.
There are many youtube videos on Dr. Kelly's website that are very educational. Dr. Kelly has My vote and I can attest first hand from my experience that God works through this mans hands helping patients suffering from the effects of a prolactinoma regain their lives to the healthy person that they were prior to the onset of all the symptoms and effects this has on us.
