Hi All,
I am new...I know how stupid this sounds, today I brought up the issue of my leaky boob (lefty). It's been an issue since my mid-late teens (I am not 24)...and I've only mentioned it now because my partner is a little off put by it and to be honest its hurting. The pain is associated with how full it gets...once I "milk" myself I guess you'd say I find relief.
What's got my GP concerned now is MRI's are off the table, and she's also concerned the increase in milk like fluid is as a reflection of a possible tumor size? And that it's one breast.
MRI's are off the table because I have a stimulator in, I have 4 metal pins in my spine that will be forcibly pulled out if I enter an MRI machine.
So...I'm kind of wondering what I may have put done by leaving it. Perhaps it's nothing...but something is causing this to happen.
I have had no pregnancies ever. However it's hard to figure out what is causing what.
Hot flushes and redness is something I've suffered from forever. I have stage 4 endometriosis, severe adenomyosis, and Polycystic ovaries (1 remaining now).
I have lowered bone density which they believed was the result of a hormone I was on years ago...but some of my research makes me wonder if it could be from some sort of tumor? Thing is, once I stopped the hormone the idea was my bone density was meant to stay put or increase slightly...the opposite is happening.
I have had the Mirena in which I attributed to my weight gain
I also have thyroid nodules
I was diagnosed with bipolar too...my psychiatrist has always wondered if its a hormonal issue? But he says it could be my "make up"
I've probably left something else out...trying to write it all down.
.. as my GP said.. it's going to be hard to understand what causes what because my body is fighting so much.
How does this timeline go?
To start with, today, I had a blood test for my proclactin levels. I have an ultrasound on my left breast next week to rule out anything within the breast causing issues. Then she wants to send me to an endocronologist I believe.
I've read through some notes on here.
What does everyone think? What are your experiences?

I see this post was from Oct.....have you gotten any answers since then? I'd think they should be able to do a CT scan on you instead of the mri.
I also cannot go for an MRI and they wanted to just go ahead and start meds just in case. I'm not a doctor, but in my research I'm learning the drugs have some pretty serious and widespread side effects. The radiation and surgery options can be risky.
Therefore, I'm going to a specialist in computerized kinesthesiology. In America, it's considered a pseudoscience but it's well proven and well respected throughout Europe. That will give me some answers about what's going on in my body. My body knows the truth, so I'm going to listen to it.
Hormonal imbalances respond exceptionally well to acupuncture so I'm doing that. If my levels don't drop with just acupuncture, I'll try some herbal treatments. I'll consider Western treatments only if I start to experience troublesome symptoms.
Do your research and look into the Western solutions, but you may also consider the plethera of alternatives out there. Good luck to you!
