Maybe because you have a prolactinoma your body is acting strangely to having a coil inserted?
Due to the size of my prolactinoma my endo said I should not get pregnant and should use a barrier method of contraception rather than the pill as the hormones in the pill can mask the symptoms of the prolactinoma.
Is there no way you could have a review with your endo over the phone or send them an email explaining your new symptoms as could be something important. If your new endo does not seem interested, could you not change and see a new one, or try to get in with one close to where you are working over the summer.
