Peace,
Tiff :)
Welcome to DS.
I have been on Cabergoline for 13 years and like Tiff, I have occassional headaches and dizziness. I take it at night just before bed and that allievates the symptoms for me.
Play around with the times you take it at during the evening to see what works for you...however I would say that a daytime dose is probably not a good idea.
The next step for me is surgery and I'm scared too but I'll give it a go and see what happens. Meds are no longer controlling my prolactin levels so I suppose its kinda my last option.
Best of luck,
Michelle :)
yes surgery sounds like such a drastic option
I am also really wondering how the quality of life would be affected by either the meds/surgery, I really enjoy hanging out with friends and having a few drinks and I wonder if I would ever be able to do that once I start down this road :(
Perhaps I'm a little bit reckless about this... but f**k it life is hard enough with prolactinoma without sacrificing more of ourselves then we have to.
Personally I would rather have the few side effects of the Cabergoline then put up with the effects of the prolactin.. but thats my choice.
Give the Caberg a try and see how you get on, you can always stop taking it if its not right for you.
