It's been awhile since I've logged on, not really busy just day to day stuff. Gina's levels seem
to be rising again, endo increased the dose of
cabergoline in March. I know this is probrably
going to be a forever thing with her, she gets frustrated with feeling the way she does, has
missed about 20 days of school from not feeling well but she does push herself, she does have a medical waiver in place at the school so her time out does not count and she is maintaining the
Distinquished Academics status but is difficult.
She got her drivers permit recently but she
complains that when she is driving she is getting
light headed and nausus, she has never had a problem with being in a car. Back for more
blood next month and endo beginning of June.

I was JUST NOW reading about a book being release entitled, "Endocrine Psychiatry" by Shorter and Fink.
I ordered my copy and will review the book.

I'm sorry to hear that your daughter is having so many problems, I to was diagnosed when I was younger. I realize and reconize what your daugther is feeling, you feel very alone, because you are so young and most people who have this condition are older. At the time I was diagnosed my doctor gave me a name of another women who also had the condition in my city. I made my mom call her and talk to her because I was so scared, and uncomfortable with myself at the time. So I totally understand.
I was put on the drug dostinex and had a very poor response, I was off work for almost a year do to how sick I felt and was from the drug, and the depression was awful. I then found a new doctor and I changed my meds to Bromocriptine, and have done very well for myself.
So there is hope and if she ever feels the need to vent, we are all here and understand what she and your family are going through.
Hope this helps a little, I know I'm thirty now, but I still remember what it felt like to feel all alone in this big ugly world.
