Addiction has completely taken control of your husband., I am sorry to say. Until he accepts the fact that he has a problem with narcotics, there is very little you can do.

Addicts play the blame game so don't feel the least bit guilty. The only help he needs is 3 months in a rehab!

It bothers me to see what his addiction is doing to you! You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

It's even harder when they think it OK because the "Dr" gave them to them. I know my husbands doctor has only seen a MRI, he doesn't do any exam or anything, you walk in he might weigh you and take your PB and give you a script. And I'm sure he had to fill out a medical history that my husband didn't reveal any of his medical problems. My husband is on his umpteenth time trying get off of them - he's gotten further that he did before. There was a big bust in my town recently, they arrested like 50 people and are still looking for more, from the dealers to the people with addiction buying them. They are talking about really cracking down on this in Florida, something about not getting your full script just a little at a time so you have to go to the doctor more ofter, I feel bad for the people who really need them and DON"T abuse them. It's the doctors just as much as the addicts.

Hi Daphne, I haven't been on here for a long time to post. I am still going through hell also. My husband went to pain mgmt and now they gave him percocet. I can't stand being around him with his hateful attitude and blaming me for everything that is wrong with him. I want to leave but don't know where to begin. My daughter is leaving for college in August and I'm dreading being here with him. Mine never went to rehab and I'm sure he won't. I know what you are going through and I wish I had some advice to give you. I try to avoid him at all costs, try to ignore him, try not having conversations etc..I am sad all the time and don't know what to do either. Keep in touch :)
