I went through with it! I detoxed the one day at home with otc meds and a very small amount of my prescribed xanax. I only had to detox one day before starting the subs. I have been prescribed 24 mg and this week is pretty much to see what my body will need to get by and descrease cravings etc ... I at this point do not think I will need more than 16 mg a day possibly only 12. They started me at the office taking a half of an 8 mg pill at a time, half hour later, another half and then an hour later another half etc .... I could not believe it when my WD symptomes went completely away, right there on the first day. I was SO SCARED. but as I said earlier in posts, I was more scared to NOT get help and try something. It is a GREAT feeling of not having or wanting to chase down any pills. a great feeling knowing I doing what I am suppose to do and on a path of recovery. Like many, I have my concerns of how long to be on this med but for now I want to keep the focus going forward. I am in counseling weekly sometimes twice a week right now and do plan on starting some AA meetings as soon as I feel a little more stable on this med. I have had some dizzyness and was VERY tired all day and evening.
I have had a 2 year addictio to percocet/oxycodone, about 80 mg a day typically and had I known about this suboxone even a year ago and that it really DOES stop the WD, I would have started it sooner. I am NOT advocating for SUBS, But for me, everything else I tried FAILED.
right now I am 51 hours off of percocet and no craving at all for it. I am feeling very thankful for my dr, my counselor, people on this board or all the support and most of all Gods strength that I prayed for yesterday.
I will keep posting my progress here and I really hope maybe some day I can help someone else with what I have been through with my addiction.

So mad at Xfinity! They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today! Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

Like any opiate, when you take too much you get the opposite affect with feelings of withdrawals. If you are feeling comfortable, then you must be on the right amount for you and thats good.
I hope you go to 12 step meetings and I hope you get a sponser and do all that you can do to prepare for the day you will be weaned from the suboxone.
God Bless
