Tried to quit cold turkey. Couldn't hand the cold sweats. Tapered down for about a week. Today, only muscle weakness remains so far, which I can totally handle. Once again I have quit...hope I don't have pain bad enough to send me back on painkillers. So sick of going through withdrawal...every time I get off of the painkillers I feel I have dodged a bullet. I have heard that if you don't abuse painkillers and only use them as prescribed, you don't become dependant on them. That is total b.s.!

So mad at Xfinity! They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today! Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

Curious to know what you were taking and what dose?
Good for you for weaning off of those. Most can't! You defied the odds!
Have you ever heard of biofeedback? It helps some people who have to deal with chronic pain. Talk with your doctor and she can refer you to someone qualified to do it.
Good Luck!
I think you are amazing for coming off them on your own! I tried for years....but rehab was what i needed. Once i realized i had no power over the pills i started to move forward. I hurt everyday, i can't do everything i want to - like walk a mile, walk on the beach, or on some days even walk to the mailbox and back.
You can do it- i believe in you!
Take care

Just curious - why did your immune system have to be suppressed? the reason i ask is I am in that boat - been on immunosuppressives for 31 years, following a kidney transplant.
