Could take the pain and sickness. Heres something i wrote in the comments of my last post i feel like sharing.
peer support or just support in general can make a hell of a difference. I thought about going to rehab or something but i cant afford to take time off and lose my job , i dont want people to find out i have this problem, co workers, family members, friends. because no matter how much someone tells u theyd never judge they all do and they all gossip. Im sick of the stigma with addicts. Were not bad or horrible unfix-able people, when were relapsing or using the drug , that is not us , its us on the drug. We become the drug. We dont use just because we want to get high but because we have a disease , just like alcoholism and 9 times out of 10 its the doctors and hospitals that give us our first taste of opiates and pain killers and get us hooked . Not necessarily blaming them but it is part of it and sometimes they do over do it . Doctors are getting so much shit that anyone that goes into the hospital is suspected of seeking. I was assaulted by a guy a year or so ago , when i had been clean, went to the hospital and they accused me of seeking and i was outraged , i didnt even want medication i wanted proof of my injuries and was treated like the assaulter . woke up the next morning and couldnt even move my neck ( i was punched in the nose) . they sent me home that day with no xray , nothing , accusing me of wanting pills. Because of them i had to wear a neck brace for months , go to physical therapy and back to regular therapy after being so traumatized and treated like i was. just an example. i also looked into NA and AA but alot of people i know go to those meetings and theyd be in shock and i wouldnt be able to be open. I just need support. "

So mad at Xfinity! They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today! Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I understand the fears you are experiencing with your addiction and I understand your anxieties. We all get lost in that endless downward spiral of addiction until forced to fight our way out.
I got hooked because I wanted to just feel good. I had a very high pressure job and a failing marriage. I really had nothing going for me. So when my doctor put me on vicodin, I thought it was the answer to all my problems. I just wanted to hug everybody because they made me feel so good and I thought I needed them to get me through the day.
I was fooled. 3 years later, I ended up in the hospital with kidney failure. I almost died from my addiction. You see, addiction is like being a a speeding freight train that you know will crash when it gets to the end of the line. It did for me but I was lucky I survived. Most don't. You won't find any addicts die from old age.
That's why I quit. I got the help I needed to stay clean. I told my doctor about my problem and she was thankfull for my honesty and she sent me to outpatient treatment.
Even though nobody knew about my problem due to the hippa laws, I didn't really care if they did know because I knew that I could die if I wasn't treated.
While I was in treatment, I was treated for my own ptsd. It was a very good experience although I was scared to death when it started. They used emdr therapy on me. I told my stories, people listened, and they cried, it was good not just for me but for everyone in my group. I think there were about a dozen of us.
That was over 6 years ago. Today, I have a good life and I have never been happier.
There is an anonimity rule with NA and AA. Nobody has to know you are even there. It is a code of conduct that we all rigidly adhere to due to the implications.
Please keep us posted. The path you take on your road to recovery may help someone else.
We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
God Bless!
Point is, you just went 2 days,GREAT!!!! feel good about that! you can go another 2 when your ready. You can do it, we all can!
I was put on it while I was in detox. It eliminated my cravings but I couldn't get high which was fine with me because I just wanted to go back to having a normal life with a normal brain!
While I was in detox, I was asked if I wanted to go to an AA meeting. I went only because I wanted a cup of coffee with caffeine in it and the AA meeting was the only place I could get it. (Caffinated coffee wasn't allowed in detox)
I continued going to meetings throughout treatment and I still attend occasional meetings even today. Life can be cruel at times and I need 12 step meetings to keep me clean and sober. I also have several sponsers who I can call anytime. The last 4 words of your post says it all , " I just need support!" We all do and na/AA are great sources of support!
So getting back to suboxone, I weaned myself off it 6 months after I started taking it and I had no withdrawals! That's the nice thing about it. You don't have to worry about getting sick.
I tried to quit hundreds of times and the longest amount of time I could stay clean was only 3 weeks! When I was in the IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) I learned about triggers. A trigger is something that makes you want to use, such as a bad feeling, or having the pills closeby, or having drug addicted friends who hound you to get high with them. The first thing I did when my counseling was over with was to get rid of all my drug friends. It was hard but it was something I had to do to eliminate one of my triggers. The next thing I did was to get rid of any remaining pills in my house. I also learned coping skills while in the iop and I learned how to be happy living a clean and sober lifestyle.
God Bless!
