Some other things, try reading before bed, make sure that the tv is off, or put it on a timer.
Weird but true, My sleepwear changes when I pregnant. I just can't wear pants to bed through my whole pregnancy...and it was like that with the last two also. Its worth a shot...or some other change.
Maybe its something that you are eating during the day. Prenatals could be affecting you....too much vitamin. Talk to doc to see if it would be ok to take a regular vitamin until the baby is really sucking the life out of you. (I had this problem as well. I do not take regular vitamins so when I went on prenatals with my DD I was also prescribed Ambien to sleep. No prenatals with DS or current pregnancy and sleeping has been much better.)
All things to think about!
Good Luck!
I also agree that eventually, you get used to it. And yeah, maybe it's better to be used to it by the time the baby comes. Well, I wouldn't say "used to it" but it is at least normal. I mean, I'm no longer surprised when I can't fall asleep or I wake up eight times in the middle of the night. I think the most important thing is being comfortable. It takes a lot of pillows for me, but I basically make a little nest that I can fall into. The more comfortable I am when I fall asleep, the longer I'll stay asleep. So, it's worth the effort it takes to get every pillow in just the right spot. Otherwise, you'll be fighting with those pillows all night long.
I think sound machines are good, too. The kind that are very consistent. If you get something that changes, it'll wake you up everytime it changes. But if you get something that will play the rain or wind sounds all night, that's good. And avoid the surf sounds ...they like to put seaguls in there which bugs me to no end.
