Due to health issues, my husband and I are considering having a baby through a surrogate. Apparently there is a successful and more affordable program set up for this in India which we are planning to use if we go this route. I wanted to hear about others' experience with having a baby through a surrogate.

I don't have any experience in this but please double triple check the agency from India. Do you know what this lady will be eating/breathing/doing with your baby?

I'd check in the infertility or maybe even the adoption group for information on that, I too wonder what Brita said, I know in the U.S. they have a lot of strict standards (I was planning on being one but since I've had a miscarriage I'm not allowed to)

Im a surrogate
i used a sperm donnor to have my twins and wanted to give the gift of life to anther person as well..

I hope all goes well and take in mind should something happen it would be hard to fight for your child who would be in another country.
