I have kept my excitement witht his pregnancy to a minimum. My first and last pregnancy ended in a miscarraige :( . When I went for my first ultra sound there was no heartbeat. That was very hard. Alot of things went thru my mind that took alot of time to deal with. Naturally after time healed some of the pain we wanted to try again.
When I found out I was pregnant I wasn't as excited as I though i would be. In fact i cried and was resentful. i should still be pregnant with my first child, not working on my second.
I have kept my little secret a secret. I have told my mom and my dad and a few , close friends. of course my employer knows so they dont give me duties that puts too much strain on my body or in harms way, I am security in a casino, sometimes things get wild. I have kept my big news to myself, only telling those that I would tell that I miscarried.
I am starting to get excited now. Really excited. I am seven weeks today, and I got to see my ob in a week. I want to grow a bump, I want to feel kicks, even more I just want to hear a heart beat.
I am terrified at the same time, I didnt get to hear or see a heart beat last time. The first time i seen my baby, my baby was dead. So i want to go ahead and hurry up and get my US so I can hear the heartbeat and know everything is ok, kinda like if i hear it, then its a milestone, a rock overturned and a chapter re-written. if i hear it a small voice in my head is saying ... "shew! everything is going to beok" but on the other hand.... i am terrified this is a re-run of last time.
I recently read from Babycenter.com that women who experience miscarriage have an 80% chance of not having another. That is contradictory to what my ob told me. She said most women have 2 MC, even if they never knew about it. Babycenter also said that studies have been done and they show that women who experience nausea AND vomiting are far less likely to have a MC. This excites me!!!!! My first pregnancy i didnt vomit at all! only nausea. BUT NOW i cant even brush my teeth with out.. well you ladies know. The study shows that nausea and vomiting are signs of a HEALTHY pregnancy. I hope all of this Baby center is telling me is tru. I dont want to go thru another MC again.
August 16th.... that is the first day of my second trimester..... that is 42 days from today!!!!six weeks away! Im already half way there.
I havent gained a pound yet! Last time I gained 15 lbs by ten wks. but last time i craved ice cream. lol. now i crave salads.. YUM!!! lol. fruits and veggies . i can barely eat meat tho:( i think this baby is a vegetarian.
well ladies its time for me to get off here. I have to go to work. I hope everyone is having a wonderfull day!!! and if anyone has any ways to psyche myself out of my fears let me know!

I experienced an MC before I had my son. A HUGE part of me was like, "Don't get excited... don't get excited" when I found out I was pregnant again. Then finally, I got to a point where I felt, I'm not going to over think this any more and just enjoy! Next thing I knew, I was in the third trimester and about to topple over from the weight.
