Sounds like baby might be pushing up against your rib cage or you're out of alignment. I've had a lot of rib pains on both sides, but it has improved since my son dropped. I would definitely call the doctor if the pain becomes too intense.

i'd thought that's what might've been the problem, but had a couple of horror stories saying it could be a sign of pre eclampsia, gall stones or a clot!! scary!

Rib cage pain is common. I get it even now during 17 weeks of pregnancy because of my breasts being larger/heavier and uterus pressure. There are different causes, so don't worry. :) If it gets too bad, I agree: call the doctor. Anything to ease your pain and paranoia, right?

Also, it's okay on the posting lots things. Everyone here is so helpful and understanding. I've posted a lot of topics myself, haha. This is my first baby, so I have lots of questions.

was in some pain last night in bed, but it seems to have eased off now thank goodness!
did wake up with toothache though! one thing after the other haha!

I get some pain in my lower rib cage when my son decides to kick them. It doesn't feel so hot. I am 28 weeks and 4 days and had been feeling that type of pain off and on since I was about 15 weeks I think.

so many delightful pregnancy related pains eh!
all worth it in the end though :)

I had that with both of my full-term pregnancies. When I was pregnant with my daughter, the pain would radiate to my back. I had an ultrasound done and it showed that I had gall stones. I still had the pain after I gave birth. I had my gallbladder removed. I had the pain again with my son. I couldn't wear underwire bras. That made it worse. I wore sports bras with no underwire. Maybe try that and see if that helps?

i must admit i have been a little naughty and worn underwired bras every now and again (for fear gravity will take over haha!)
