I have this buddy whos been in and out of a relationship with this girl. He busted her cheating and ended it. Her come back, shes pregnant. Now he wants to own up if its his, but this is her story.

Shes 3-4 weeks and the embryo is stuck in a fallopian tube and the doc wants to wait and see if it drops into her uterus. Is that possible? Does anyone have experience? I thought once implantation occured it was a done deal and eptopic pregnancies were terminated on discovery.

Shes been known to lie and hes at a loss.

plus she claimed a miscarriage mid-June. So pregnancy would of occured pretty much immediatley.

I am not too sure, but I don't think that is very possible and if it is, it is highly unlikely that it will reach the uterus. I always thought that ectopic pregnancies were terminated because they are dangerous. But I could be wrong.

They are always immediately terminated because it can rupture the tube and destroy the entire system. If she had a miscarriage in mid-june, she could get pregnant right after but not enough time has passed from the miscarriage to know for her to know she is even pregnant. It would be mid to late July before she found that out. If I were your friend, I would ask to go with her to the doctors appointment cause then he wouldn't have to take her word for things, he could ask directly. If she had a miscarriage, her doc would also have a record of that too.

3 to 4 weeks is too soon to see an embryo and see if it's stuck in a fallopian tube via ultrasound. Generally speaking an embryo isn't visible until at least 6 weeks. That being said, if it IS stuck in the fallopian tube, it's implanted and will rupture if left alone.

I would say that it's possible she's lying. I have heard that there's a website out there advising women to "get back at their ex's" by faking a pregnancy and then faking a miscarriage. That practice is probably why most people feel that women who are emotional after an actual miscarriage are "milking it" or "overreacting".

I agree with the last 2 posters completely. Sounds like this chick is looking for attn. Tell him to ignore her and if she DEFINITELY turns up prego he can take her to court and ask for a paternity test.

At 3 - 4 weeks pregnant most people dont know they are pregnant. It doesnt sound real to me. Usually the egg isnt released until about 2 weeks in and it takes a week usually before it implants. This is just what I know from all the reading I did while I was spending 1.5 years to get pregnant.

And as for getting pregnant after a miscarriage. When I had my miscarriage my doctor told me it will take at least 3 months for my uterus to thicken up the lining and get back to normal. Sure enough... 3 months later I was pregnant again.

Anyway... it is just something to think about.
