I'd make the family something separate (or have something they can make like your spouse can cook or?) and eat whatever you have the least aversion to. I have had so much hell with extreme nausea I've barely been able to eat anything (or gain any weight)
I found my aversions were different every day so I've just gone ala carte LOL I eat what I can, when I can.
Hopefully yours wont last the whole time like mine and hospitalize you regularly! Hang in there and it'll go away after first trimester! HUG

how about a burrito/tortilla type dinner put out dips and salad, roast some meat even have it as a vegetarian if you can't face meat or buy a cold chicken and let people dig in for themselves it looks good spread out and has little smell.

Honestly, just eat whatever sounds good to you or you might never feel comfortable eating while you're sick. I ate spaghettios, ramen noodles, ice cream, and jello.

I'm with justbecky and homunculus, just eat whatever you can tolerate at the moment even if it's separate from what your family is eating. However, if you find the smells omitted from cooking for your family bothersome, maybe try a slow cooker recipe that way you may not smell it as much (beef stew or pork loin with vegetables)?? Or maybe something along the lines of a casserole (macaroni and cheese with green beans/broccoli)? I feel your pain with the nausea, it's brutal. Hang in there.
