Ok, ever since I have gotten pregnant my breasts have gotten dry (dry skin). I know it is winter time so I normally have dry skin on my legs, but never on my breasts. Am I supposed to use lotion on my breasts? Is it safe on my nipples? LOL, Anyone else ever sxperienced this?

LOL....the things that happen to our bodies during pregnancy!! I worked for a dermatologist for a while so i am positive that putting lotion on your breasts is fine..

My breasts aren't dry, but I lotion them after every shower right along with my growing tummy. :)

i have the same prob. i would think that it would have to do with them growing and stretching and needing to be kept hydrated just like your belly.

Breasts get stretch marks too!! I would make sure you cocoa butter the girls up everytime you do your belly! :) Also any place you tend to put on weight, I got stretch marks on my thighs from my pregnancy weight gain... : Now that I'm on my third I've learned to lotion up everything!

I read in a book today that your skin on your breasts and stomach get dry and itchy as the skin stretches. Both areas are going to get bigger in the coming months. Cocoa Butter lotion is your friend! lol

Yes - lotion is safe for your breasts. You can use shea butter, cocoa butter, or vitamin E liquid for your nipples. Also, try to wash with water only - the soap will dry out the skin and the nipples more and can cause problems later if you are planning to breast feed.

Never thought about it causing problems later for breastfeeding but i can see how it could.
