I saw an OB from my doctor's office (not my regular doctor) yesterday. When she measured me, she said I was measuring 37 weeks, which was up THREE WEEKS from Friday, when I measured 34 weeks. I am currently 33w5d. I also lost three pounds since Friday, but apparently I jumped three weeks in size?!?
The Dr says, WOW, you are growing a BIG baby in there! However, I don't think that is what it is. I am on bed rest for blood pressure issues and severe swelling in my feet and legs, so I am thinking it is more likely excess amniotic fluid, or she just screwed up measuring. Either way, it was a big jump, and I am annoyed that she didn't order an u/s to actually estimate the baby's weight and investigate the case of the rapid increase.
I see my regular OB Friday, and am going to insist on getting an answer, even though I know he will want to figure it out anyway.
Anyone else have a big increase like this? I have been consistently measuring about a week ahead for awhile, but not three. Thanks!

I would hope that if there was anything extreme that would be a cause for concern, that your doctor or any other would catch it and order an U/S.
