Hi everyone i was the one talking about spotting in early pregnancy and i went to the doctor and had an ultrasound and they said i looked very early still and i am at 6 weeks when i went no heart beat they said that was normal for this early....but they checked my HCG and it was 1197 from 423 a week ago so i thought that ws good then they check my progesterone and it was low they put me on pills right away 3 everyday for about 3 months....they said that is why i started to spot but has anyone had this and went on to have a normal pregnancy i am just a lil worried about it and i dont know my numbers for the progesterone they told me they werent horrible just a lil low for 6 weeks....thanks :)

I had low progesterone that dropped throughout my first few weeks. I was on the crinone suppositories and prometrium pills through 14 weeks and am now 36 weeks. Your rising HCG is a good sign - sometimes the progesterone just needs a little help. Good luck!

Hi sweetheart. Yes, I cannot hold a pregnancy without progesterone! Had shots the first two babies all the way through (progesterone plus HCG in the first tri) Most women get to stop after the first trimester, but progesterone also prevents preterm labour for me! Our second bub arrived at just 25 weeks after losing his twin in the pregnancy, but that was due to other complications. I have since had my longest pregnancy yet, full term :-) The shots are awful, so very glad the oral method is working for you!! Rising HCG is fantastic, sometimes our bodies just need a little help with the progesterone hun. I had a few methods with my last (pessaries, troches, creams, oral etc) and I do bleed in pregnancy too. I haemorrhaged severely from 7 weeks with my preemie bub and still brought him home :-) xx
