Ok, green tea has lots of good things in it: antioxidants & such :) I like the way it really calms me down. I have read that it is not good to drink too much while ttc or already pregnant since it drains ur folic acid, which is really important in baby making. I have heard that it helps CM, so it makes it easier for the spermies to get to their destination. But there were studies that showed women who drank alot of green tea around the time of conception had babies with neural tube defects. Do you think it is okay for me to drink a bit of green tea while ttc if I am taking my prenatal vitamins? I am also eating healthy, so I am trying to get enough folic acid that way as well.

I would say that you are probably fine to drink some green tea while trying to concieve. I would limit to what you are comfortable with. It seems like you have definetally done your research! You probably know best! Feel free to call your dr and ask!

My doctor told me green and black teas are fine throughout pregnancy. You just need to avoid weird herbal teas.

Green tea was my favorite but i have decided to stay away from it during pregnancy when i read information in the book what to expect when you're expecting. according to them: stick to regular black tea prefereably caffeine free that comes already flavored or mix up your own by adding fruit juices or pieces of fruit. they also say that green tea should be limited during pregnancy since it may interfere with cell development and growth. there is however, no information in regards to trying to conceive, sorry. Good Luck!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
