i am taking lexapro for anxiety and i am planng to get pregnant but i am scared of having an effect on the baby help

i would talk to your doctor. i was taking Paxil when I found out. I wheened myself off it with the direction of my pdoc and gp. I have been holding up pretty well and i have a dx of major depression and borderline personality disorder

Definitely talk to your doctor. I was taking a few different medicines before I got pregnant that I stopped when I got pregnant. The first 3 months are the most crucial for the baby's development after that it's slightly safer to be on anxiety/depression meds. I'm 7 months pregnant now and am managing (barely) to be off all my meds, but I'll be going back on them soon after the baby comes.

I agree-- ask your dr. Even if lexapro is not safe, there are a lot of anxiety and depression meds that can be taken throughout pregnancy. It may be safe, but it's best to know for sure.

I take Lexapro i have since day 1. My Dr said that bing off my anti depressant is alot worse or the baby than being on it. The few times I did miss my pill I was an emotional wreck and ended up in the hospital because baby wasnt moving as much Dr said t was because my stress was stressing the baby. Im 37 weeks ad havent had any probs with Lexapro while pregnant.

I am on lamictal, and the doctor told me it was safe for the baby- I wrestled around with the idea, and I need to take care of myself and the baby, so I am on it.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
