Talk to your doc about it. thats my advice.

you reckon its a bad idea dont u prego....??! i can tell! i know wot the doc will say, that i shud loose weight, but just wanted to know if it will make that much difference lol xx

Im about as over wight as you and I am almost 12 weeks right now I think the most it matters is all the wight you well gain during pregnancy. try to limit the wight you gain to 15 pounds my doctor told me if I hold a steady wight or drop 20 pounds well pregnant thats fine as long as its not because i am not eating. I have lost 10 pounds now and every thing is ok if you stay at the same wight you will be like 20 pounds under your pre pregnancy wight after you have the baby. I think it is fine if you try to have a baby now just try to stay active and eat the right foods!

Maybe you should ask the doc about how much you should lose. Remember you will gain weight when you are pregnant. You want to be as healthy as possible. You also may need to start taking folic acid if you are planning to get pregnant. Speak to your doctor and plan the most healthy pregnancy you can. Good luck!

I think the only real problem with being overweight and pregnant is it can be hard on your heart. Start small: First stop eating all fried foods....then cut away all fast food, then try and limit the bad carb intake. Stay away from white rice, white bread, soda pop, anything with a lot of sugar...and defiantly stay away from diet drinks...they will do you more harm than good. They make you more hungry. Drink juices....100% juice. Drink a lot of water.

I am very overweight too, when i fell pregnant i was 19st+ i hsve managed to loose 4 stone whilst pregnant, eat healthily ovoid junkfooods and definitely start taking those pro-natal vitamins,it will all help you with your health and conception.

I know lots of over weight women who have have been prego with no problem. Go for it.
Also, unrelated, I notice you came from the anxiety communtiy. I have anxiety as well and had to come off my meds once I became prego. I din't do it before because it was too hard. Coping now is tough too but atleast I have something to look forward to. If you ever wanna chat I'm here.

I am over weight, and I am pregnant. I have complacations, but it is not due to my weight, it is due family history. I say if you want to get pregnant then do it. I would say that you can just change the way you eat and it will be okay and you may lose a little weight before you get pregnant and maybe a little while you are pregnant.. But I thought that if I waited until I lose the weight, I would be to old to have another baby..

hi, went to docs today, to see how long its gonna be before i see the psyciatrist (sp) about coming of my anxiety meds, (need to do this first b4 we start trying u c)

anyway, i discussed my weight with her, and she didnt say much, great eh?! but told me to make an appointment with the practice nurse, who would talk to me about healthy eating, an loosing some, got a half hour appointment, so sounds like it could be helpful.

yea, neeters.. me too with the age thing, i know i'm younger than u and everyone sed i'm not old to have a baby (25) but i feel it! maybe suffering with the anxiety makes me feel old! but yea, just wanna get on with it really, an being overweight sucks!

also, does it take longer to concieve wen your overweight or is this a myth??????????????? lol xx
